For left-sided breast tumors, deep inspiration breath-hold techniques displace the heart away from the radiation beam, drastically minimizing long-term cardiac toxicity.

Comprehensive post-treatment survivorship care must monitor for bone mineral density loss secondary to aromatase inhibitors, manage treatment-induced vasomotor symptoms, and maintain scheduled surveillance mammography.
